Dear Mr. Brewin,
Thank you for your note of the 6th of
February. We have not yet heard from Hong Kong
about the subject of the Brewin Charity, and the
proposals which were put to the Colonial Government
after our talk here. As you know, the Colonial
authorities have a good many urgent affairs to
deal with at present, and we have not therefore
pressed them hitherto for a reply on this particular
question. I will, however, now write semi-officially
to the Colonial Secretary to ask whether any progress
has been made. The name of my colleague here whom
you met with me when you called was Mr. J.G. Hibbert.
Yours sincerely,
GET C
EIG.
A.W. BREWIN, ESQ., C.M.G.
